Repiping cost: what to expect for a whole-house repipe

A repipe is a big job, but the price is predictable once you know your home size, pipe material, and bathroom count.

Typical price range

A whole-house PEX repipe for a typical 1–2 bathroom Inland Empire home commonly runs about $5,000 to $10,000. Copper and larger homes cost more, often $10,000 to $18,000+.

These are typical ranges, not a quote. Call 626-386-9105 for an exact upfront price.

PEX vs copper

PEX is flexible, fewer fittings, freeze-resistant, and less expensive. Copper is durable and long-proven but costs more in material and labor. Both are excellent when installed right.

Signs you need a repipe

Repeat pinhole leaks, slab leaks, low pressure, rusty or discolored water, and original galvanized pipe in homes built before the 1970s are the classic signs. Patching one leak at a time often costs more over a few years than repiping once.

How long it takes

Most homes are repiped in 2–4 days, with water restored at the end of each day. Drywall patching is included in a proper quote — ask about it.
